In this photo from September 1985, National Wood Flooring Association founding member and Hall of Fame inductee Virgil Hendricks (right) poses with the American Parquet Association’s Al Pollard. In Pollard’s hand? A document that made Hendrick’s Lockwood Flooring the first member of the NWFA, then only a four-month-old idea. We are told the money in Hendrick’s hand is the annual membership fee, then $375.
