The following is a deep-dive into the stats of the modern hardwood flooring contractor. Every year, we collect some data from wood flooring contractors about finish preferences, species use and more in our State of the Industry report, but this year we decided to take a much closer look at those pros who spend their days installing, sanding and finishing.
To collect the data, we surveyed hundreds of our contractor readers about how they run their businesses. Some of the answers were what we'd expected; others surprised us.
