Trend Spotting: Herringbone Going Strong in Denmark

Mikkel-Emil Jensen, director at Nybord, Denmark-based Lignea ApS, says that in addition to solid and engineered plank wood floors, herringbone is also in demand. “We see a clear trend where herringbone goes in and out of popularity year after year, but it rises more and more,” he says. All of the flooring is installed with full-spread adhesive with no nails. “A parquet pattern we call ‘Dutch weave’ (shown below) is also becoming popular,” he notes.
