Mullican Flooring (Johnson City, Tenn.) has provided 800 square feet of walnut ebony brown hardwood flooring from the company's 3/4-inch-thick solid Frontier Collection for HGTV's "Urban Oasis Giveaway," which participants can enter for their chance to win a fully furnished Manhattan apartment and Acura ZDX. "We're proud to be a part of such an impressive project and look forward to seeing who wins the giveaway," said Mullican President Neil Poland. Participants can enter the sweepstakes once per day at HGTV.com from Sept. 1 through Oct. 20. The show debuted last night, and encore showings will air throughout September and October. The winner will be announced Nov. 15.
Michelman (Cincinnati) has added new reactor capacity at its headquarters. Reactors are used to process its water-based surface modifiers, additives and polymers for the company's interior and exterior wood coatings, industrial coatings, fibers, and composites and construction coatings.
Missouri Hardwood (Birch Tree, Mo.) will resume manufacturing in September after a period of retooling and upgrading machinery. The company was purchased in 2009 by Hardwoods of Missouri LLC (Birch Tree, Mo).
