Deutsche Messe, organizers of Domotex trade shows, characterized its latest event in Hannover "outstandingly successful" on the heels of drawing 45,000 visitors, an increase of about 19 percent from the 37,900 visitors in 2011. Organizers said the mood in all of its trade show halls was "thoroughly upbeat."

A total of 1,371 companies exhibited during the show, which saw attendance increases from Germany and abroad, particularly from Eastern Europe, North America and the Far East. "This confirms the success of our many co-promotional initiatives with exhibitors, associations and the media designed to generate maximum interest on the part of foreign and domestic visitors," said Dr. Andreas Gruchow, the Deutsche Messe managing board member responsible for the event.
The majority of attendees consisted of buyers from the retail and wholesale sector, members of the skilled trades as well as architects and interior designers, according to Deutsche Messe.
Next for organizer Deutsche Messe is Domotex Asia, taking place in Shanghai March 27-29. After that is the inaugural Domotex Russia, being held Sept. 26-28 in Moscow, and Domotex Middle East in Istanbul on Nov. 8-11. The next Domotex Germany show in Hannover show will take place Jan. 12-15, 2013.
