For the second year in a row, the floor covering industry will descend upon Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Convention Center for Surfaces, which will begin Monday and end on Jan. 26., and just like last year the industry is hopeful of a rebound in housing for 2012.
For the wood flooring enthusiast, Surfaces will have much to offer. Besides the more than 120 manufacturers highlighted in Hardwood Floors' 2012 Surfaces Pocket Guide of NWFA-Member Exhibitors and map (pages 1 and 2), the NWFA will be present along with Hardwood Floors on the show floor in booths S6404 and S6405.

During the trade show, Urban Floor will hold a drawing to send two people on a five-night vacation to Rome. The drawing is open to any dealer who purchases one pallet of any Urban Floor product during the show. Urban Floor's booth is B3239.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, DIY Network and HGTV stars will be at Surfaces. Chris Grundy, host of "Cool Tools," will be on hand in Tool Alley from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Antonio Ballatore, the season-four winner of HGTV's reality show "Design Star" and current host of "The Antonio Treatment," will serve as the keynote speaker from noon to 1 p.m. during the Designer Day luncheon on Jan. 25.
Also, The Floor Covering Industry Foundation, Hanley-Wood, and the World Floor Covering Association will sponsor a healthcare screening booth, which will be located on Level 1 outside the Exhibit Hall. Expo attendees can visit the booth for a free, confidential check-up, including total cholesterol, blood sugar analysis, blood pressure and body mass index.
