BR-111 Imports & Exports Inc. (Medley, Fla.) on Friday filed an appeal in its ongoing legal dispute with Triangulo Flooring and Panels (Curitiba, Brazil), according to court documents.
In December 2010, Triangulo petitioned the U.S. District Court in Miami to enforce an arbitration tribunal's award ordering BR-11 to pay Triangulo nearly $1.56 million. Later that same month, BR-111 asked the court to vacate the award. Then on Jan. 5, 2011, a U.S. District judge in Florida ordered BR-111 to pay Triangulo, finding in favor of Triangulo and denying BR-111's request to vacate the award.
