NWFA Asks Members to Change By-Laws

NWFA members have been asked to approve changes to the association's by-laws during the 2012 Wood Flooring Expo, which will be held April 10-13 in Orlando, Fla.

A full overview of the proposed changes can be found here.

The NWFA said its legal counsel recommended the changes to address the changing needs of the organization, and to better fit state nonprofit corporation law. The NWFA is based in St. Louis. Other changes have been recommended to expand the scope of leadership and representation on key committees such as the Nominating Committee. Other amendments will help facilitate electronic member participation and voting.

Members can approve the by-law changes during the General Session during the Expo, which will take place April 11 at 9 a.m. in the Osceola A Ballroom at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center. Also during the General Session, NWFA members will vote for additions to the association's board of directors and hear a keynote address from former Harley-Davidson executive Ken Schmidt.
