Kentucky's Cabinet for Economic Development is seeking a buyer for a 311,000-square-feet wood product manufacturing space in eastern Kentucky. The space, sitting on 32 acres, was formerly occupied by cabinet-maker American Woodmark.
The Cabinet for Economic Development is looking to fill the space after losing more than 300 jobs over the past three years in the business park in which the plant is located. The Cabinet hopes to fill the space as soon as possible because it is working on developing a biofuel power plant in the same business park that will generate power, in part, by burning waste at the woodworking plant.
Real Estate agent Fred Combs is handling the sale. Combs can be reached at (606) 233-2545.
