Through a partnership with the NWFA, the University of Pennsylvania is offering a nine-week course on personal development and business management.
The program, which costs $7,500, is intended for business owners and managers, as well as people being groomed to lead a business some day, according to the NWFA. Participants will learn concepts that can be applied to the day-to-day management of a company, as well as ways to maximize and expand business performance.
The course will be taught in person and online. It begins with an in-person session at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and is followed by a seven-week online session. Instructors are from the school's Wharton Small Business Development Center. The program will conclude at the campus, where students will fine-tune their action plans. NWFA said the program could include topics such as marketing, strategic planning, leadership, succession planning and innovation to drive business growth.
The pilot program is scheduled to begin during the first quarter of 2013. For more information, contact NWFA's Debbie Edgar at (800) 422-4556 or [email protected].
