On June 29, NCSU will host the sixth webinar in a series on local wood products marketing. The webinar will offer information on growing sales, profitability and employment at wood products manufacturing operations. All of the webinars, including the upcoming one, can be viewed here.
On Aug. 2, NCSU will a Local Wood Products Marketing Conference at the Wood Education and Resource Center (WERC) in Princeton, W. Va. The networking event is geared toward private forestry and wood products businesses, public forestry organizations and state forestry divisions, trade organizations and university departments. Topics of discussion will include local wood product marketing, scaling forestry operations to match local wood products makers, the state of domestic wood and imported wood, and how technological advances can help local manufacturers match global manufacturers.
