During its spring meeting in Boca Raton, Fla., on July 1, the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) elected Harold Chapman, president of Bonitz Flooring Group Inc., chairman of the board. Chapman will take the place of former chair Jim Walters, who took the position of immediate past chairman.
Also during the meeting, the association filled out the board with other elections. Active directors elected Janice Clifton, Abbey Carpets (Napa, Calif.), chairman-elect; and confirmed Paul F. Johnson, Carpet One (Tulsa, Okla.), secretary; Scott Walker, Walkers Carpet One (Bellingham, Wash.), CFO; Mark Weaver, Carpet Weavers (Bloomington, Ill.), vice chairman; and Tom Jennings, past chairman. These people will comprise the association's executive committee for the 2012-13 fiscal year that will end June 30, 2013.
The WFCA elects a third of its board of directors each year for three-year terms. Newly elected directors to 3-year terms include: Scott Appel, Touch of Color (Harrisburg, Pa.) Carrie Seifert, Diversified Flooring Design Center (Edgewater, Fla.) Mark Tollefson, Tollefson's Retail Group Inc. (Minot, N.D.) Directors also re-elected Terry Wheat, RFMS, to a three (3) year term as an associate director.
