The green building industry will descend upon San Francisco on Nov. 14-16 for Greenbuild 2012, and registration is now open for the event, hosted by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
The USGBC expects 35,000 people to attend the event, which will be held at San Francisco's Moscone Center. The crowd is attended by commercial and residential building professionals, architects, building owners and operators, students, advocates and educators. The three-story exhibition floor will host 1,000 companies in 2,000 booths.
Headlining this year's show at the opening plenary will be Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, co-hosts of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," and Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter.
"Sustainability is everywhere, and no longer is it an option for companies and individuals to ignore their footprints," Biz Stone said in a statement from USGBC. "Collectively, we can make a profound social and environmental impact. I look forward to the ensuing discussion among the innovative crowd at Greenbuild."
