Authorities in Los Santos, Panama, on Wednesday levied $3,600 in fines against illegal loggers and seized their trucks, according to Newsroom Panama.

The loggers were caught with logs from the cocobolo tree. The authorities, part of Panama's National Environmental Agency, planned to re-plant 2,000 seedlings in the areas damaged by the loggers. Authorities there also recently handed out 15 fines related to illegal logging, including six involving vehicles used to load illegally logged wood.
