The Committee on Forestry, part of the U.N.'s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), will hold meetings in Rome Sept. 24-28 to focus on "translating the results of Rio+20 into action."
During the meetings, which coincide with the FAO's third-annual World Forest Week, the FAO's leaders will discuss ways to integrate forests with its environmental and land-use policies. Other topics for discussion will include broadening the financial basis for sustainable forest management.
