The University of Minnesota Duluth's Natural Resources Research Institute and the USDA's Wood Education Research Center (WERC) on Oct. 25 in Princeton, W.Va., will hold a one-day industry forum in an effort to develop North American standards for thermally modified wood.
The University of Minnesota Duluth's Natural Resources Research Institute and the USDA's Wood Education Research Center (WERC) on Oct. 25 in Princeton, W.Va., will hold a one-day industry forum in an effort to develop North American standards for thermally modified wood.
The event will include an overview of thermally modified wood technology, as well as a review and analysis of standards used in Europe. Speakers will address development issues of thermally modified wood in Europe and Canada, as well.
The event will be held at the U.S. Forest Servicve Wood Education & resource Center in Princeton, at 301 Hardwood Lane. The event is also sponsored by the Lakehead University Wood Science Testing Facility.
