Shaw Industries Inc. (Dalton, Ga.) will sponsor the Special Olympics Georgia 2012 State Fall Games that will be held Oct. 12-14. This is the company's second consecutive year sponsoring the event, which is anticipated to attract 1,300 athletes from the Dalton area.
A group of state-level forestry associations will hold A Practical Basic Dry Kiln Operators Training workshop on Oct. 30-31 in London, Ky., at Chaney Lumber Company, 4276 S Laurel Road.
