Mannington Announces 6% Price Increase on Engineered Wood Floors

Mannington Mills today announced a 6 percent price increase on all engineered wood floors as of Dec. 17. The company cited increases in log pricing, veneer costs and transportation costs as the factors driving the price hike.

"We are experiencing dramatic increases in raw material pricing, which have driven our costs up to a point where passing along a price increase can no longer be avoided," said Kim Holm, president, residential business, said in a release. "We continue to be optimistic about the economic recovery and the future of our industry."

Armstrong recently announced a 6 percent price increase on all of its engineered and solid wood flooring; that increase is also effective on Dec. 17.
