Heritage Timber Edition flooring recently netted DuChateau Floors/Royalton Floors (San Diego, Calif.) a "Best of Year Product Award" in the hard flooring category from Interior Design magazine.
The FSC-certified engineered Heritage Timber Edition comes in European white oak planks that are 7-7/16 inches wide. It's available in Chalk, Coal, Lintel, Slat and Trestle colors, and it comes prefinished with a hard-wax oil finish. It replicates the patina of reclaimed distressed building materials and shows surface scrapes, nail holes, notches, and saw kerf marks.
The awards were announced during a celebration in New York City on Nov. 29. Finalists were selected by an online panel of interior designers and architects, and the winners were chosen by the editor in chief along with a jury of industry design leaders. Eligible products were introduced to market between September 2011 and August 2012.
