Surfaces to Feature Business, Social Media Education Opportunities

During the Surfaces 2013 trade show, to be held Jan. 28-31 in Las Vegas, GE Capital will sponsor the Business Enrichment Center (BEC), an area dedicated to providing education and networking opportunities.

According to Hanley Wood, organizer of Surfaces, "attendees will have the opportunity to sit and relax in a hip and comfortable atmosphere and hear from key industry speakers on the Education Stage." Topics of discussion will include "Closing Sales with Consumer Financing," presented by Brian Copps; "Don't Compete on Price, Compete on Value," presented by Sam Allman; "How to Compete with the Big Box Retailers," presented by James Dion; and "Minute to Win it - Understanding Your Customer in 60 Seconds or Less," presented by Caren McCabe.

In addition, the BEC will feature a Social and Technology Trends Lounge. There attendees will learn about social media trends, mobile apps and technology best practices. Some of the topics presented there will include "Five Easy Ways to Use LinkedIn to Improve Your SEO," "Twitter as Your B2B Secret Weapon" and "Three Rookie Facebook Mistakes That Will Kill Your Business."

The BEC will also include a cash bar open during trade show hours.
