Tool manufacturer Bosch (Farmington Hills, Mich.) announced Monday it has committed $340,000 in funding and in-kind donations to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Tool manufacturer Bosch (Farmington Hills, Mich.) announced Monday it has committed $340,000 in funding and in-kind donations to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Relief includes $100,000 in short-term relief for Habitat for Humanity aid earmarked for storm victims, as well as tools worth $100,000 to support recovery efforts. Bosch, along with Lowe's, will outfit 24 work vans donated by General Motors. The Bosch Community Fund will contribute $100,000 to the United Way of Greater Lehigh Valley, Pa., to support home restoration for affected low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners. Last, $40,000 in Bosch boilers, security products, solar modules and water heaters will be donated for victims.
