Floor heating sales revenue climbed 14.3% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with a year earlier, with professional customers driving much of the increase, according to the Q2 2026 Industry Report from WarmlyYours (Lake Zurich, Ill.). The report uses the company's own sales data as a proxy for the broader radiant heating market, set against national housing and remodeling conditions.
Order counts rose 4.6% year over year while average order value grew 9.3%. The company interpreted the growth as a move toward larger floor heating projects.
The steepest percentage gains came through commercial channels, with purchases by commercial general contractors up 703% and commercial design/build firms up 384%. Designers (up 104%) and remodeling contractors (up 65%) posted their increases from established volume levels, making their growth more meaningful.
WarmlyYours owner and president Julia Billen said the professional growth signals that floor heating is increasingly specified upfront rather than added on late in a project. "The interesting thing about this quarter is that radiant heating isn't just sneaking into more projects—it's getting invited to the party earlier," Billen said. "When designers are specifying it and contractors are building it into the scope, that tells us something important: they're seeing the value before the project ever gets to the installation stage."
