Tropical Forest Foundation Appoints New Board, Committee Members

The Tropical Forest Foundation (TFF) announced Sunday it has appointed new members to its board of directors and executive committee representing conservation, industry and academia.

The group's newest appointees to its board of directors are:

  • Julie Kunen, director of Latin America and Caribbean programs for the Wildlife Conservation Society
  • Fran Raymond Price, director of certification programs for The Nature Conservancy
  • Philip Duvic, executive vice president of the Architectural Woodwork Institute
  • Brent McClendon, president and CEO of the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association
Also, Laura Snook of Bioversity International was elected vice president of the board, replacing Armstrong Floor Products Worldwide's Frank Ready, who stepped down from the position (Armstrong remains a member of the TFF). Last, Chad Oliver of Yale University was elected as a board representative to the executive committee.

"The TFF Board and Executive Committee are the heart of our organization," said Executive Director Bob Johnston. "The members offer their expertise and knowledge in order to make real advancements in the management of tropical forests for the benefit of the environment, economy, and people that depend on forests for their livelihood."
