Included in the purchase was Jubilee's patented intellectual property, including proprietary radio-frequency kiln drying technology. A purchase price for Jubilee was not disclosed; however, Triglia said SBS, owned by Charles Knipper and Gregory Janson, has made a $750,000 investment in new manufacturing equipment for Vesta's operations in Myrtle Beach. Vesta will offer 3/4-inch-thick solid flooring and 5/8-inch-thick engineered flooring in multiple colors and finishes; all its reclaimed products are FSC-certified and can garner LEED points.
The name Vesta comes from rearranging the letters in the word stave; it is also the name of the Roman goddess for hearth and home. "We look to continue to be good stewards over our world's forest by turning discarded material deemed unusable back into reusable material," Triglia said.
With the change in ownership, Triglia will attend the NWFA Expo on April 2-5 under the Vesta Hardwood Flooring banner. For more information, Triglia can be reached at [email protected] or (631) 335-2627.
