As Earth Day approaches, the Forest Stewardship Council has asked social media friends and followers to share pictures of themselves hugging trees and FSC-certified products via Facebook and Twitter. Everyone who shares a picture by Earth Day (April 22) will be entered to win a basket of FSC-certified products. To see some of the pictures already posted, visit the FSC's Facebook page. At press time there were no submissions-yet-with FSC-certified flooring.
The Hardwood Federation has launched its new website at www.hardwoodfederation.com. The new site features issue briefs, videos about the Federation and its political involvement, columns and an industry calendar of events. The Federation is currently taking comments on the new design and content to improve the site.
