HF Briefs: Horizon Opens Baltimore Branch; New Classifieds

Horizon Forest Products (Raleigh, N.C.), a distributor of hardwood flooring products in the Southeast, recently announced the grand opening of its newest branch location in Baltimore, Md. The 13,000-square-foot facility is the company's only Baltimore-area location. Jim Gray, with more than 20 years of experience in the hardwood flooring industry, will oversee the new branch.

The Sustainable Forestry Initiative Inc., and Habitat for Humanity International have signed a memorandum of understanding and pledged to expand cooperation between the two groups by encouraging the use of wood products certified to the SFI Standard on Habitat construction sites.

Mohawk Flooring (Dallas) announced a new partnership with HomeAdvisor, a leading website and mobile app provider offering resources for home repair, maintenance and improvement projects. Through this partnership, Mohawk's Aligned retail partners are eligible for special promotions and quarterly rebate credit on service professional products.
