This year's NWFA Expo Inspector Symposium's speaker list includes three experts who will talk for two hours about psychrometrics-the relationship between temperature and humidity, the variables that cause wood to expand and shrink.
Starting at 8 a.m. on April 16, Charlie Peterson and Madison, Wis.,-based Aprilaire's Randy Lenz and Mike Rimrodt will present "Understanding Relative Humidity in the Home."
Lenz, an Aprilaire product specialist, has 11 years as a humidification expert. He teaches a common-sense approach to the application of humidification to contractors and salespeople. Rimrodt, the company's director of marketing, has developed dozens of indoor air quality products. He teaches air quality solutions to HVAC contactors, salespeople, technicians and consumers. Peterson is well-known in the wood flooring industry as a frequent NWFA technical training instructor, and he is a NWFACP-Certified installer, sand and finisher and inspector.
The NWFA Certified Professionals Inspector Symposium takes place the day before the trade show starts. It features more than 10 speakers, covering topics from wood identification to ASTM standards to an inspector's legal responsibilities. The Symposium is open to all NWFA Certified Professionals and NWFA members.
