Change of plans: The 2016 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo will change its location from San Diego to Los Angeles.
Rick Fedrizzi, president, CEO and founding chair of the U.S. Green Building Council, which sponsors the conference alongside Hanley Wood, said Los Angeles is an ideal fit.
"Los Angeles is a green building hub," he said in a statement. "Home to 268 LEED-certified commercial buildings, 1,431 LEED-certified residential units, and more municipal LEED-certified square footage than any other city, Los Angeles is the perfect place to convene the world's leading green building conference and expo."
As to why the show was moved, the statement only said that changes are made to ensure an "optimal show experience."
