Ardex Americas was named a 2014 Healthiest Employer of Western Pennsylvania-its third consecutive year earning the accolade-by The Pittsburgh Business Times.
Ardex ranked fifth out of the top 15 companies given the recognition. Ardex attributes its healthy atmosphere to programs it provides on-site at no cost, including biometric screenings, health and benefits fair, lunch-and-learn seminars, a walking trail and Zumba class, among others.
"We are proud to be recognized for our efforts toward employee health and wellness," said Jesse David, president of Ardex's United States and Canadian divisions, in a statement. "Approximately 90 percent of Ardex Americas employees participate in wellness programs."
In addition, Ardex offers employees no-cost preventative care and products and programs aimed at helping people quit smoking tobacco.
