Analysis: LEED versus Green Globes

Building Green Inc., a publishing company that concentrates on green design information, released a 90-page analysis comparing Green Globes and LEED systems point-by-point.

The report's authors said that although LEED has been used to certify billions of square feet and 37 times more projects than Green Globes, interest in Green Globes, a system championed by building industry insiders, has never been higher.

The analysis includes cost comparisons and seeks to answer a number of questions: Does Green Globes add rigor? Are there any stark differences, or is it about cost and branding? Which is a better corporate citizen, Green Building Initiative or United States Green Building Council?

Only BuildingGreen.com members can download and read the report, available at BuildingGreen.com.
