Ardex's 'Growing Business' Worth An Extra 10,000 Sq. Ft.

Ardex Americas recently broke ground on a 10,000-square-foot expansion to its Mansfield, Texas, manufacturing plant.

The addition will bump the plant's total square footage to 45,000, the company said in a statement.

"We continue to experience strong growth, particularly in our line of Tile & Stone Installation Systems products," said Marshall Seavers, plant manager at the facility, in a statement. "The expansion is primarily warehouse space that will improve inventory and logistics for all Ardex Americas products throughout the Southwestern U.S."

Currently, the Mansfield plant employs 14 people on two shifts. It will produce about 19,000 metric tons, about 42 million pounds, of product in 2014, the company said.

The location is also home to one of eight Ardex Academy Training Centers on the continent.
