Kent Goodman, owner and CEO of Space Flooring, is retiring.
Goodman and his family operated the Atlanta-based company since its founding in 1969. He sold it to CMH in 2008 but stayed on as president of Space Flooring and became a partner and shareholder of CMH Space.
Goodman started work in the wood flooring business at 16. He worked his way up in Space Flooring until becoming vice president of operations in 1985. He succeeded his father to become the president and CEO in 1993.
Goodman grew the company from $18 million in sales in 1993 to $70 million in sales today.
