Quick-Step App Lets Users Preview New Floors

Augmented reality has come to the flooring industry through Style My Floor, a digital tool from Quick-Step.

Quick-Step's new floor style visualization tool is an application for iPhone, iPad and Android that allows users to point their device's camera at the floor and, through the device display, see how the floor would look like with a Quick-Step product installed.

"With simply the stroke of a key, she can try out as many different Quick-Step floors as she wants to-in real time," said Paij Thorn Brooks, vice president of brand marketing for Quick-Step parent company Unilin, in a statement.

The application also lets users take photos, share images, find a flooring retailer and order as many as five real product samples for free.
