Bernie Madden, owner of Madden McFarland Interiors in Leawood, Kansas, has passed away.
Madden was a founding member of the Kansas City Chapter of the International Certified Flooring Installers Association, and "spoke on behalf of professional flooring installers everywhere he went," a release from the CFI national office said.
He was also the first recipient of the Chris Davis Award, named after the former CEO of the World Floor Covering Association and given only to retailers who promote quality installation and leadership.
