Armstrong World Industries (Lancaster, Pa.) yesterday announced that effective Sept. 26, Senior Vice President of Global Operations Excellence for Armstrong Donald Maier will be appointed executive vice president and CEO of Armstrong Flooring Products.
Armstrong World Industries (Lancaster, Pa.) yesterday announced that effective Sept. 26, Senior Vice President of Global Operations Excellence for Armstrong Donald Maier will be appointed executive vice president and CEO of Armstrong Flooring Products.
He will replace Thomas Mangas, who stepped down to leave Armstrong and become executive vice president and CFO for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
Maier started with Armstrong in 2010. While there, he oversaw the consolidation of facilities in the United States and the opening of plants in West Virginia, as well as in China and Russia.
Maier, before Armstrong, worked for private equity investment firm TPG Capital Advisors. He also worked for health care manufacturers Hill-Rom from 2002–2008.
Armstrong World Industries CEO Matt Espe said in a statement, "I would like to thank Tom for his many contributions to Armstrong and wish him well in his future pursuits.
