Sampson Coatings, the Richmond, Va., manufacturer of Craftsmen's Choice, Wood Armor and Alacatraz brand name clear wood finishes, was bought by National Paint Industries, parent company of nationwide brands including Harco and Garco. Sampson dates back to 1899.
Sampson Coatings, the Richmond, Va., manufacturer of Craftsmen's Choice, Wood Armor and Alacatraz brand name clear wood finishes, was bought by National Paint Industries, parent company of nationwide brands including Harco and Garco. Sampson dates back to 1899.
National Paint Industries, established in 1959, manufactures specialty coating for marine, flooring, pool and industrial maintenance markets. The company also has nationwide distribution under the Bluewater, Top Secret, Talon, Petri and Wilson Imperial brand names.
"Many" Sampson employees will be joining National Paint Industries in manufacturing, sales and customer service, according to a statement released by National.
“We are extremely excited about Sampson and the opportunity it brings complement and expand our existing products in the wood finishes and industrial maintenance markets," said Mike and Don Schnurr of National Paint Industries.
