Curtis Rhymer, an Army major currently in Germany, will retire to the Tri-Cities (Tennessee/Virginia) region in April 2015 after 25 years of service. He was nominated in an essay written by his sister, Pam Rhymer. She wrote about Rhymer's tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and his commitment to veterans of both World Wars. Rhymer, the grand prize winner, will receive 1,500 square feet of Mullican Flooring.
Charles May, a retired U.S. Air Force technical sergeant from Beaver, W. Va, will receive 1,000 square feet of flooring. He was nominated by his daughter-in-law, Sylvia Mays. She wrote about his service in Vietnam as a medic and the assistance he provided to young military members and their families while on duty.
Terence Propes, of Jacksonville, Fla., will receive 500 square feet of flooring. Propes, is serving his 23rd year of service with the U.S. Navy. His wife Christine Propes wrote about his willingness to help the families of fellow sailors while the sailors are deployed.
