Schenck & Company (Houston) took home the American Society of Interior Designers Texas Gulf Coast Chapter’s Best Use of Flooring award for the fourth year in a row.
The company won for its floors inside a home in the Memorial area of Houston. They installed a Marseille-pattern white oak floor at the bottom of a dramatic staircase and wide planks with a slightly beveled edge in the home’s family room.
Schenck & Company also installed three other patterned floors in the house.
White oak was selected for the award-winning floors throughout this traditional home. At the bottom of this dramatic stairwell, it is crafted into a traditional Marseille pattern and burnished with oil for a finish that is warm and welcoming.
