The NWFA and the World Wildlife Foundation will host a free webinar for industry professionals who are importing flooring from Russia and China, two countries known for supplying or manufacturing illegal wood products, on Nov. 13 from 3–4 p.m EST.
The webinar will teach importers how to demonstrate due diligence and mitigate the risks of illegal wood from entering a supply chain. The hosts will also share updates to the recent CITES listing of Mongolian oak and Manchurian ash, changes in Russian laws affecting wood exports and how to inform customers of a business’ commitment to protect threatened forests through responsible purchasing.
Speakers include Brian Milakovsky, WWF-Russia Amur Branch’s forest projects coordinator, and Linda Walker, WWF-US’s director of Global Forest and Trade Network.
