Flood Buzz Alarm Detects Water Leaks in the House [+video]

A water leak that’s undetected right away can damage wood floors and require expensive repairs. This device will let a homeowner know there's a water leak before it's too late.

The Flood Buzz is a low-cost and loud alarm that, when placed near leaky home culprits like the refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine, will buzz like an old cooking timer if its base gets wet.

The Flood Buzz has no buttons and needs no programming to work. When water touches two prongs underneath the device, off goes a 110 dB alarm. The device is powered by batteries that can last up to three years, according to New Jersey-based Flood Buzz manufacturer Archetype Ltd.
