Home Depot Q3 Profit Up $1.86 Million

The Home Depot reported its third quarter profit increased to $1.53 billion from $1.35 billion in the same period last year.

The home improvement retailer also saw sales of $20.5 billion, a 5.4 percent year-over-year increase. Comparable-store sales in the third quarter saw a similar increase; they were 5.2 percent higher than last year's.

The company confirmed its fiscal 2014 guidance as well. It expects sales growth of approximately 4.8 percent at year's end. The company’s full results can be viewed here.
