Registration for the National Wood Flooring Association Expo 2015, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the NWFA, is already 28 percent higher than this time last year, and booth sales have increased 30 percent.
Attendance at the Expo, April 28–May 1 in St. Louis, hometown of the NWFA, is projected to surpass the approximately 3,000 attendees at the 2014 show in Nashville, Tenn. This is the third consecutive year of 20- to 30-percent increases in attendance.
“We are pretty happy to see the pattern of growth continue,” said Michael Martin, NWFA president and CEO. “It reflects the ongoing economic upswing in the industry, as well as the value wood flooring professionals see in taking this opportunity to come together and exchange ideas, create new business opportunities, and keep working together to drive the industry forward.”
The tagline for the show this year is "Play it Forward." The tagline is a play on two ideas: the sports theme of the show, which will be held on the floor of the dome where the St. Louis Rams play football, as well as the idea of service. The Expo will include industry, local and national community service efforts, developing lasting partnerships to help disadvantaged youth through PGA Reach and Angel's Arms, and helping the Gary Sinise Foundation, which benefits veterans, first responders and their families. Oscar-nominated actor Gary Sinise will also be the keynote speaker at the show.
