
Avi Hadad, the owner of Avi's Hardwood Floors, leads a Master Craftsman school at NWFA headquarters last week.
The National Wood Flooring Association held a Master Craftsman Training school at its training facility in Chesterfield, Mo., near St. Louis, last week from Feb. 16–20.
The Master Craftsman Training school requires participants to have completed at least one NWFA Advanced School and a minimum of five years’ experience working with wood floors.
School topics included jigs, medallions, an extreme makeover of an existing floor, parquetry and marquetry, staircases, non-linear installation, tapered boards, routing, hand scraping, reclaimed and wide-plank installation methods, and expert-level factory-finished installation.
The school’s instructors were NWFA Vice President of Education & Certification Brett Miller; Avi Hadad, Avi’s Hardwood Floors; Randy Harris, Hardwood Industry Products; and Wayne Lee, Middle Tennessee Lumber.
