Mohawk Industries Inc. (Dallas) profits were $147 million in the fourth quarter of 2014, $52 million more than in the fourth quarter of 2013.
Net sales in the fourth quarter of 2014 were $1.95 billion, compared with $1.92 billion in the fourth quarter of 2013.
Profits for all of 2014 were $532 million, an $83 million increase from the profits in 2013. Net sales in 2014 were $7.8 billion, an increase of 6 percent from the $7.3 billion in sales Mohawk saw in 2013.
Mohawk’s laminate and wood segment sales for the fourth quarter were $459 million, a decrease of 2 percent from the fourth quarter of 2013.
“We delivered solid results during the quarter, generating increased earnings even with negative translation impact from foreign currency,” said Jeffrey Lorberbaum, CEO, in a statement.
