The “Fastest Nailer in the East” contest, an annual favorite of contractors participating in the Philadelphia Floor Store’s Nailer Day, has a new format this year.
Instead of a prize going to only the contractor who nails 18 square feet of wood flooring the fastest, prizes will also be awarded to second and third place finishers, as well as all contestants who enter.
“We expanded the ‘Fastest Nailer in the East’ format so we could reward each contestant for his or her effort,” said Mike Glavin, founder, in a statement. “The contest is intended to be fun, and our goal is to encourage those standing on the sidelines to jump in and give it whirl.”
Nailer Day is free for hardwood floor contractors. Attendees will receive discounts and a chance to win tools, equipment and other prizes, including a Primatech P250 ALR nailer.
Representatives from top manufacturers will be there to answer questions and showcase new products.
Nailer Day will be held at the company’s Conshohocken, Pa. showroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 19.
Attendees can register at phillyfloor.com.
Last year Robert O’Connell won the “Fastest Nailer in the East” with his record time of 2:35.
