An actor, Oscar-winning movie subject, MLB manager, a baseball hall of famer and a Super Bowl champion—these are the presenters slated for the National Wood Flooring Association’s 2015 Wood Flooring Expo in St. Louis, April 28–May 1.
The Expo, with the theme “Play It Forward,” will start with Bill Courtney, owner of Classic American Hardwoods in Memphis and subject of the Academy Award-winning documentary “Undefeated.” During the Kickoff General Session on April 28, Courtney will share how he built a business from scratch despite the recession and how he made an enormous impact on the under privileged youth in his community.
John Mozeliak, general manager of the St. Louis Cardinals, will be the keynote speaker during an All-Star Ceremony on April 29. His talk is titled, “Building a Business Through Community Service.”
Baseball Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith will announce the NWFA’s partnership with his organization, Gateway PGA REACH, which helps underprivileged youth through the game of golf.
Gary Sinise, well known for his role as Lt. Dan in “Forrest Gump,” will also announce the NWFA’s partnership with his Gary Sinise Foundation, which builds smart homes for wounded military veterans.
Super Bowl champion Isaac Bruce, who helps youth in need through his Isaac Bruce Foundation, will make an appearance at the Expo’s Closing Tailgate Party on April 30. He will also announce the winner of the grand prize VIP trip for two to Super Bowl 50.
