A Wisconsin company is asking the Internet for help to fund its new product—WearMax Scratch Concealer—for those white lines that appear when a prefinished wood floor board is scratched.
WearMax, based in Weston, Wis., began an IndieGoGo campaign last week. WearMax is looking to raise $5,000.
The perks for donating to the campaign include, for distributors, up to one pallet of the product—1,296 bottles.
The company filed a patent for the product in July 2014 and began beta testing with consumers in the fall.
The product provides an alternative for homeowners who want to fix the scratches without removing floor boards or refinishing the entire floor, the company said on its IndieGoGo campaign website.
WearMax’s CEO, Tryggvi Magnussen, and head of sales, Susan Lang, are the founders NWFA member company From the Forest.
