When Long Beach State University decided on a beach-themed floor design for a new court in the historic Walter Pyramid Arena, home of the 49ers basketball and volleyball teams, they turned to McWil Sport Surfaces and Advantage Coatings Defense waterborne gym finish to get the job done.
“Bring the beach to the Court” is the new theme, complete with transparent stained palm trees and three-point areas, as well as painted pyramid borders. The “Beach” lettering across center court features feels like Miami Vice.
“This floor is stunning yet subtle,” Advantage Coatings (Louisville, Colo.) said in a statement. “This floor is beachin’.”
