Goodwin Company Named Finalist For Florida ‘Companies to Watch’

Goodwin Heart Pine Company (Micanopy, Fla.) has been named a 2015 Florida Companies to Watch finalist.

Goodwin is among 101 finalists selected from more than 500 applicants. In the second round, the company will be evaluated based on its performance in the marketplace, products, services, philanthropy and employee empowerment.

“Being named a Florida Companies to Watch finalist solidifies our value in both the marketplace and the state economy,” said Carol Goodwin, president of Goodwin Company, in a statement.

Fifty winners will be announced in August and celebrated at a ceremony in November.

Florida Companies to Watch is an awards program to honor second-stage companies throughout the state for developing products, adding quality jobs, enriching communities and creating new industries. The program is run by GrowFL, an organization created in 2009 by the Florida legislature to assist second-stage companies in the state.
