Mohawk Industries Sees Q2 Profits Increase 22 Percent

Mohawk Industries (Dallas) reported a second quarter 2015 profit of $186 million, a nearly 22 percent increase compared with last year’s second quarter profits of $152.7 million.

Mohawk’s profit comes on $2 billion in sales in the second quarter. Mohawk saw the same amount of sales last year during the same period.

The company realigned its flooring segment reporting structure to North American sales and “Rest of World” sales, and did away with individual segments for types of floor coverings, which makes it difficult to compare reported figures with previous year activity.

The company had an operating income of $95.1 million on $920.3 million in flooring sales in North America, and $53.05 million on $331.6 million in rest-of-world sales during the second quarter of 2015.
